In 1987, the Austrian Shipyards delivered the two identical vessels MS Admiral Tegetthoff and MS Prinz Eugen. Today, MS Admiral Tegetthoff serves as the flagship of the DDSG Blue Danube fleet and is one of Austria’s best-known charter ships.
To enhance manoeuvrability, particularly during docking procedures, MS Admiral Tegetthoff is equipped with an electrically powered bow thruster. The vessel is also fitted with echo sounding equipment, radar and marine radio systems, supporting safe navigation on the Danube.
